Project Tour: Rhapsody by Sedef Imer for Riley Blake

Posted by Ellies Handmade on

I'm so excited to join in all the fun as part of the Rhapsody Project Tour, showcasing some of the stunning prints designed by Sedef Imer, for Riley Blake Designs.
It was really difficult to choose which prints to work with from this range, all the colours are so vibrant and beautiful - Inspired by the bright and happy colours of Cinque Terre, Italy. I couldn't pass up the two main prints, in teal and white, and the coordinating ditsy floral prints in aqua and yellow.
I chose the Lenox dress by Little Lizard King for Ellie, she loves to twirl and the gorgeous circle skirt in this pattern gives allllll the twirl factor needed. I used the aqua ditzy floral for the collar and added a cute bow at the center front.

We had to return some books to Green Square Library and its such a beautiful building and fun interior we decided to take some pics while we were there.

The kids area at the library has a lot of fun and comfy spaces to kick back and relax with your favourite book.

The design of the library includes a subterranean garden, an open air amphitheatre and a 6-storey glass tower. Its such a unique building we took some pics outside too.

The second dress I chose for the teal main print, was Winnie Pinnie by Little Lizard King. I adore the fit of this dress and the cute square back makes it such a unique design. I made the tie version, and lined the dress in the yellow ditzy print, which you get a peek of on the reverse side of the ties.
I'm counting down the days till Rhapsody releases, so I can sew up some more beauties in this stunning range!  Here is the rest of the schedule if you would like to see more of this amazing range!
