La Conner Fabric Blog Tour
Today I'm excited to share some of my creations using the beautiful fabrics from Jera Brandvigs La Conner fabric range by Lecien Fabrics. Jera is an amazing quilter and designer, and when I saw this beautiful range I was immediately drawn to all the strawberry prints she created! You may know her blog already, Quilting In The Rain.
As a maker of little girls clothing, (for those of you that know me, you know I love making dresses) I love to choose prints that are sweet, and girly and reflect childhood innocence, so this range was really appealing to me.
This dress is Ellie's favourite dress made using the Metallic Red Strawberry print, the gold highlights are so gorgeous (but so hard to capture in photos!).
I just love the fitted bodice and sleeves in this style.
Here is another I made in the Pink version made using the Charlie dress pattern from Violette Field Threads
This pattern is the Hampton Dress from Made For Mermaids, I made this style up for The Little Bow Co Store in Singapore, which I have just loved seeing photos pop up on Instagram of the girls over there wearing them. It is still amazing to me that there are girls all over the world wearing dresses I've made.
The Aqua was my personal favourite, I used the Amsterdam dress from Little Lizard King (Buy pattern here) and i just adore the way this dress looks (and fits!)
I also adored the Blue Berry Dot Gingham print with strawberries too (and of course in my fave colour) - for this dress I used the Tadah Patterns Tea Party Dress.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about this beautiful range, if you are a seamstress and want to purchase these prints, I like to get mine from Fat Quarter Shop in USA, because they ship an unlimited amount of fabric to Australia for $40 usd (winning!) and here is a list of the other wonderful ladies joining in the fun on the blog tour.
