Ellie and Jack meet Goldie and Grey!
Its a super windy Saturday here in Sydney, and once we finished Ellie and Jacks swimming lessons we decided it was better to spend the afternoon indoors. What to do?
Millhouse Collections sent me a pretty parcel last week, and amongst the pretties that came in the parcel was a wonderful Doll Fabric panel designed by See Kate Sew for Riley Blake Designs.
The panel features a boy (Grey) and Girl (Goldie), which you simply cut and sew (theres some instructions on the panel which you can follow) and a cute little ice cream, skirt and bows.
So Daddy got the task of cutting out the shapes, while Mummy quickly stuffed and sewed the arms to attach to the bodies before sewing around them. For the stuffing we used a Hobby Fill from Spotlight (1kg was around $18 - which was wayyyyyy to much btw, half that would have been ok - so plenty left for other projects!)
The kids then had so much fun stuffing the dolls, we had to help with the legs but other than that their little hands were able to fit through the gap so easily and once they were ready I hand stitched the gap closed (don't look too closely, hand stitching and me really aren't friends).
Here is Ellie and Jack with their new dolls, and matching ice creams which I'm told were super tasty.
